As the President and CEO of Xtel Communications, Brian Flynn has played an integral role across all aspects of the company for nearly 25 years, enabling Xtel to transform from a facilities-based CLEC and ISP to the full-service telecommunications, cloud and cybersecurity services provider it is today. His career in telecom began after an unfulfilling two-year stint in Finance. From there, he had a conversation with his father, Don Flynn, who co-founded the company and suggested he consider telecommunications, and he never looked back.
Flynn developed his well-diversified skill set after holding multiple roles at Xtel, which ultimately led to his appointment as Xtel President and CEO in 2015. His hands-on experience and drive to push the boundaries in an evolving telecom landscape have led to the company’s continued success, unmatched reputation and long-standing customer base. Flynn’s strong business acumen has enabled the company to enter new markets while maintaining that local trusted provider feel. Recently, Flynn led the company’s overall strategy to enter the Maryland market with the acquisition of GTB Global Telecom, and he launched Xtel’s third data center in the New York City region to meet growing customer demands.
A South Jersey native and avid Philadelphia sports fan, Flynn enjoys spending time with his family at the Jersey shore. Flynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Temple University.
