Xtel Communications has invested millions of dollars to build a state of the
art telecom network using the latest technology in digital switching and fiber
optics. As a facilities based carrier, Xtel is able to efficiently operate and
maintain its own network backbone. This allows Xtel to monitor network quality,
control costs and pass significant savings on to our customers.
Xtel’s main Network Operation Center, located in Philadelphia, PA, is equipped
with several disaster avoidance features which help protect against network outages.
Xtel’s redundant network employs route diversity and border gate protocols that allow
for instantaneous route changes in the event of a network failure. This means that
your service will not be interrupted. Additional NOC features include environmental
control, static control, dual power feeds from different power stations, battery backed
power, and gas based fire suppression.
