Q: Who is responsible for canceling long distance service with my current carrier?
A: XTel does not have the authority to make changes or cancel your service with any other carrier. Once you have been switched to our network, we will contact you and guide you through canceling your prior account.

Q: Will there be any interruption in my phone service by moving long distance services?
A: Our experienced staff is trained to ensure your service is moved with your business in mind. We understand the importance of your service remaining up and available to you so we strive to make the process as easy on you and your business as possible.

Q: Can I request customized routing of my Toll-Free numbers?
A: Yes, we can work with you to route your toll free numbers the way you need to make your business most efficient.

Q: Can I change the RTN number of my Toll-Free number?
A: Yes, simply call our customer service group and we can make the change for you – usually within a short time.

Q: Can I request a vanity Toll-Free number?
A: Yes, we will work with you to find you any available number and our experienced staff is able to offer you suggestions and hints to finding exactly what you need.

Q: What services are included in the IVAD ?
A: Your IVAD service will include Voice and Internet including Local and Long Distance with data speeds up to a full 1.5mbps depending on your voice needs. We can also offer you digital or copper lines over your IVAD circuit.

Q: How many voice channels can our business have?
A: You can start with a minimum of 12 lines, leaving the rest for your data service, but we can also offer you up to 24 lines and will work with you to determine what best suits your needs.

Q: We require more than a single T1 for our voice and data needs, can we have more than one ?
A: Yes. Your sales representative will work with you to configure your best options

Q: Can I keep my existing local phone numbers?
A: Yes, local number portability allows you to move your lines to us with no interruption in your service or change in your lines.

Q: Will there be any interruption in my phone service by moving local services to Xtel?

Q: If I do experience a problem, what is the likelihood of getting a timely repair?
A: In the unlikely event that you experience a problem, our staff is trained to work with you to repair your problem immediately.

Q: Isn't all Internet the same?
A: Not all Internet is the same! Service Level Agreement, network latency, packet loss, customer router management and 24-hour support all are determinates of your quality of service (QoS). Xtel excels in each case, ensuring the highest levels of QoS for our customers.

Q: Can your Internet service be integrated with other services on a dedicated T1?
A: Yes, we can configure your T1 for both voice and data.

Q: Do you provide Equipment to support voice and data?
A: We offer a wide range of equipment from routers to channel banks to ensure you have the service that suits you best.
